Cataflam tablets

Cataflam 50 mg coated tablets is a medical product which contains diclofenac potassium in the dosage of 50 mg. The therapeutic indications of Cataflam tablets are:
Short period of treatment of different kinds of pain, inflammation caused by traumas, sprains;
Treatment of acute periods of musculo-skeletal disorders including periarthritis, tendonitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis;
Management of post-operative pain, swelling such as dental or orthopaedic surgery;
Gynecological conditions such asdysmenorrhoea or adnexitis and associated menorrhagia;
Treatment of migraine attacks;
Acute gout;
Non-articular rheumatism and other conditions.
Cataflam contains the potassium salt of diclofenac, a non-steroidal compound with pronounced analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. Cataflam tablets demonstrate inhibition of prostaglandin biosynthesis, which is fundamental in reducing inflammation, pain and fever. The medicine starts its action very quickly so, it is an appropriate treatment for conditions which demand fast and effective relief of pain.
Cataflam calls forth profound analgesic effect in moderate and severe pain conditions. Surgical interventions, traumas and injuries often cause inflammation. Cataflam relieves both types of pain spontaneous and secondary pains.

How to use Cataflam tablets

• an antidepressant: fluvoxamine (Luvox), escitalopram (Lexapro), citalopram (Celexa),fluoxetine (Sarafem, Prozac, Symbyax), sertraline (Zoloft) or  paroxetine (Paxil). If you use these drugs with an NSAID may cause you to  bleed or bruise easily. • an ACE inhibitor:  enalapril (Vasotec),benazepril (Lotensin), lisinopril ( Zestril, Prinivil), ramipril (Altace),quinapril (Accupril) ;

• a diuretic (water pill) : furosemide (Lasix);

• lithium (Lithobid,Eskalith);

• fluconazole (Diflucan);

• a blood pressure or heart medication: eprosartan (Teveten), candesartan (Atacand), irbesartan (Avalide, Avapro), ), valsartan (Diovan), losartan (Hyzaar, Cozaarte), olmesartan (Benicar),lmisartan (Micardis);

• a blood thinner: warfarin ( Jantoven, Coumadin);

Information about this drug

This medicine  may cause life-threatening circulation or heart  problems especially if you use it long term ( stroke or heart attack). Do not use this drug just after or before CABG (heart bypass surgery).   Go to your doctor at once, if you have weakness,slurred speech, chest pain, problems with vision or problems with balance, shortness of breath.

This medicine may  cause serious effects on:  the intestines or stomach, perforation, bleeding.  Go to your health care provider at once if you have the next symptoms or problems of stomach bleeding (coughing up blood, tarry stools,bloody, black).
